With a proactive approach to security and a team of seasoned experts, HighCom delivers bespoke solutions tailored to each client's unique needs.Job SummaryWe are currently seeking an Experienced Alarm System Integrator to join our team at our Oakland (Bay Area) office. This position is responsible for repairing, installing, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on existing residential and commercial security systems. Pay rate is $25-$35 per hour depending on experience.Key Responsibilities:Install and program security alarm systems.Respond to service requests, troubleshoot burglar alarm malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments or repairs according to manufacturer specifications.Pull and install wiring as per guidelines.Test all installed or serviced equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer and client standards.Communicate effectively with other technicians and department leaders.Read and interpret design drawings and wiring diagrams.Work with Honeywell and other alarm systems, including DSC, GE, Bosch, and Concord.Upon job completion, test the system, train customers on its functions, and provide a manual when available.Complete and submit all required documentation accurately.Keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered with burglar alarm systems.Take on additional duties as assigned.Aim to be a leader in the field.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience installing and configuring burglary alarm systems, particularly with Honeywell systems.Proficient with Lynx and Vista panels; experience with Vista 50, 128, and 250 is highly desired.Must have writing experience.Familiarity with programming systems, including alarm.com and alarm.net configuration.Experience with Total Connect solutions is a plus; Z-wave knowledge is desirable but not required.Quick learner with new technologies.Comply with all health and safety regulations.Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Capable of lifting/moving equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds and performing tasks in various physical positions (climbing ladders, working in crawl spaces, etc.).Must be authorized to work in the United States.Fluent in English (both speaking and writing).High School Diploma or higher.Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.Technical school training is preferred but not mandatory.Strong interpersonal skills with diverse groups.A team player committed to the company's continued success, growth, and excellent reputation.Qualified candidates may need to pass written tests and drug screenings to meet state and internal requirements.We offer competitive compensation for qualified technicians, including medical and life insurance, 401K, paid vacation/sick leave, bi-monthly paychecks, reasonable installation schedules, and paid training.When applying, please include "Alarm Technician" in the subject line.
