SEEKING HANDY & PERSONABLE RESIDENT MANAGER
California, San francisco bay area 00000 San francisco bay area USASeeking a personable and responsible Resident Manager to assist with onsite activities at a well located apartment property in Oakland. This role will assist our off-site management and maintenance staff in ensuring that our client’s property meets certain standards for occupancy, habitability and desirability in the market.
We are a growing residential property management company, primarily managing apartment and mixed-use buildings of various sizes in East Bay Area cities.
Responsibilities include:
Professional and timely communications with tenants, vendors, associates, our client, supervisors, government and financial services representatives, etc.
Showing vacant units to prospective renters
Ensure the property common areas and grounds are kept tidy and presentable
Work Order fulfillment (generally basic interior and exterior maintenance, basic turnovers, etc.)
key coordination support as necessary
Reporting assistance as needed
Assist our field Inspections Logistics Coordinator to ensure our units meet departmental standards for habitability, safety and marketability.
Conduct activities in coordination with our 24/7 maintenance call center
Assist maintenance leadership with aspects of a unit turn over and capital improvement process
Assist with rent collections, posting notices, if/when necessary
Perform other assigned functions as necessary
Requirements include:
Must live on site - a unit will be made available at 2/3 the market price
Ability to work and communicate professionally with a wide variety of people and personalities
Ability to prioritize, organize and complete tasks or multi-step processes is essential.
Ability to properly conduct basic maintenance repairs and turnover projects
Ability to learn and use new processes, software programs or mobile applications
Ability and willingness to protect operations by keeping sensitive information confidential
Consistency and reliability
Diplomatic, tactful, team player
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use common smart phone applications
Maintenance experience is necessary, property management experience is a plus but can be taught.
Must have satisfactory references
We use industry leading property management software (Appfolio), and collaboration and productivity software (Microsoft Teams/Outlook/OneDrive/etc). This position will primarily conduct activities on the specific property. We have an informal and congenial working atmosphere but high standards for productivity, professional tact and reliability. This is an at-will, part-time position. As required by law, the position must live on-site, and as such the cost of the apartment provided will be only 2/3 of the market rate for such an apartment. Hourly pay shall range from $20-$25/hour, with possible higher pay rate for certain maintenance activities, depending on experience.
