We are a small restaurant looking for someone to take on a sous chef role and assist with daily kitchen operations. You will be working directly with the co-owner/Chef to execute a from scratch menu that rotates every couple of months. This position will be 100% hands on kitchen work. All ordering/admin work will still be handled by the Chef.
We are looking for someone that is passionate about cooking and providing high quality service to our guests. Candidates must have the ability to regularly learn new dishes, understand portion control, and have the ability to present clean attractive plates. Daily responsibilities:
Writing Prep Lists
Menu prep
Restocking the line
Work in a clean and sanitary manner
Line cooking
Standard kitchen cleaning
Ability to self-manage
Clear communication skills
Ability to be on your feet for a full 8 hour shift
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
Willingness to assist others
Schedule is Thursday-Monday afternoons/evenings. Daily shift meal, 20% discount.
Ideally candidates will have at least 3 years kitchen experience.
