DESCRIPTION OF WORKThe Investment Accountant on our Investment Reporting team serves as a technical investment accounting specialist, subject matter expert and supervisor. The position works with staff to timely and accurately analyze, classify, report and reconcile all investment transactions and fair values for the diversified, multi-billion-dollar, Defined Benefit Plan portfolio. This position coordinates and works closely with the custodian, sub-custodian, SERS-Investment Office, and investment consultants.

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week.
A work schedule beginning and ending between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, inclusive, with a half-hour or one-hour meal period will be considered, dependent on operational requirements. The requested schedule may not end prior to 4:00 PM.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time with occasional onsite visits as needed. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection; otherwise, you must work on-site at the work location specified in this job posting.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

This position is located in Dauphin County, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. SERS will not pay for relocation, housing, or travel expenses. All applicants must be willing to work in and commute to the Harrisburg, PA location when on-site work is required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Four years of professional accounting or auditing experience which includes one year of professional investment accounting or investment auditing experience, and a bachelor's degree supplemented by eighteen credits in accounting; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of profes ional investment accounting or investment auditing experience, and a bachelor's degree supplemented by eighteen credits in accounting.Additional Requirements:
