Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facility Technician to join our team at a food manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the facility, adhering to strict cleanliness and safety standards, and performing routine inspections and repairs. This position requires a keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the facility's machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition.

Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address any maintenance needs or potential hazards.

Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other critical infrastructure.

Follow and enforce safety protocols, hygiene standards, and regulatory compliance specific to the food manufacturing industry.

Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, minimizing downtime and disruptions.

Collaborate with the facility management team to develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.

Ensure the cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage facilities.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in facility maintenance or a related field is preferred.

Proven experience as a facility technician, maintenance worker, or similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing or industrial setting.

Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.

Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP) is highly desirable.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed.

Availability to work four days a week, eight hours per day, with flexibility for potential overtime or emergency call-outs.

Days of Work: Monday Through Thursday

Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Rate of Pay: 30.00 - 33.00 Per hour depending on experience.
