We are looking for a new installer/carpenter for handicap remodeling and home modifications. This position involves a variety of different work including stairlift installation, wheelchair lift installation, door widenings, doorway modifications, ceiling track lift system for disabled individuals and other types of handicap specific technical and remodeling work.

This role will require the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment, as well as travel to various locations in a company van.

Duties:

- Demonstrate good ability to learn installation techniques for various disability equipment related products including: stair lifts, wheelchair lifts (porch elevators and platform lifts), transfer lifts, door openers, grab bar installation, assist with metal wheelchair ramps, and other various installations.

- Utilize an ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues and perform electrical repairs

- Work independently to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical problems

- Interpret schematics and blueprints to locate and repair mechanical components

- Travel to various locations in a company van to perform service calls

- Boil down complex technical issues into clear and concise language for customers

- Collaborate with other technicians to share knowledge and best practices

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Strong background in mechanical repair, electronics, and ideally carpentry

- Proficiency with design and schematics

- Experience with mechanical knowledge

- Ability to operate a company van safely and efficiently

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting

- Valid driver's license

- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
