Description

As a Custodian at Wenatchee Rescue Mission in Wenatchee, WA, you will be crucial in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $17 to $18 per hour.

Job Overview:

As a Custodian, you will ensure the cleanliness and organization of all areas within our facility. You will be in charge of regular cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting, as well as handling special cleaning projects as needed. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will help create a positive and comfortable atmosphere for all who enter our doors.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting

- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners

- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies

- Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for events or meetings

- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or repairs needed

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment

- Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a clean and organized facility

Requirements:

- Previous experience in custodial or housekeeping roles preferred

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning protocols

- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks

- Willingness to work as part of a team and take direction from supervisors

- Must be able to pass a background check (Please note, as per Washington state law, we are not allowed to inquire about criminal backgrounds during the hiring process)
