We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team and help us craft unforgettable dining experiences.
Job Summary:
As a Line Cook at Siren Song Winery, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality dishes, working closely with our culinary team to ensure our guests receive top-tier meals that pair perfectly with our wines. You'll have the opportunity to work in a creative and collaborative environment, bringing fresh ideas and a passion for cooking to the table. This role requires attention to detail, time management, and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in a fast-paced kitchen environment, following established recipes and plating standards.
Work various stations as required by the shift.
Ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner, adhering to quality standards for taste, presentation, and portion control.
Assist with food prep, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and marinating proteins.
Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures to maintain food safety standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen environment by following health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the Chef and kitchen staff to develop new dishes and menu items.
Monitor inventory and communicate any shortages or needs to kitchen management.
Follow all kitchen protocols, including cleaning, equipment care, and waste reduction efforts.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a line cook or prep cook in a high-volume restaurant or similar environment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting, both independently and as part of a team.
Strong understanding of kitchen safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
Ability to handle kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers, ovens, and knives.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Passion for food, culinary innovation, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with farm-to-table concepts or in a wine-focused dining environment.
Knowledge of wine and food pairings is a plus.
Culinary school or relevant certifications are preferred but not required.
