We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead the culinary team in preparing a wide variety of dumplings and related products. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily kitchen operations, including cooking, preparing, and managing inventory. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and the ability to ensure consistent, high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

Culinary Production: Lead the preparation and cooking of various dumplings, including different fillings, doughs, sauces, garnishes, and accompaniments, ensuring consistency in quality and taste.

Product Management: Maintain designated par levels on all products, including proper First-In-First-Out (FIFO) rotation to ensure freshness and prevent waste. Manage inventory levels and ensure sufficient stock for daily operations.

Menu Development: Collaborate with the team to develop and refine dumpling varieties, sauces, and other menu items to enhance offerings.

Food Safety & Cleanliness: Ensure that all food safety protocols are followed, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring they follow recipes, portion control, and maintain high standards of quality. Organize shift schedules and assign tasks to team members as needed.

Cost Control: Monitor food costs and work to optimize efficiency while minimizing waste. Ensure accurate portion control and effective use of ingredients to meet budget goals.

Ordering & Vendor Management: Oversee product ordering, manage relationships with suppliers, and ensure deliveries meet quality and timing standards.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar role in a high-volume culinary setting.

- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations.

- Experience in preparing dumplings or similar products is highly preferred.

- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Ability to manage inventory, food costs, and portion control effectively.

Additional Information:

- The traditional workweek for this position is Monday through Friday, but with work flexibility that may including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
