Sous Chef Wanted

Located in historic downtown Waterbury, The Reservoir is looking to add a Sous Chef to strengthen and support our current management team and provide a work/life balance for everyone.

Applicants should have previous experience as a Sous Chef, or a Lead Line Cook looking to take the next step in their career.

Skills should include:

-Motivating the BOH staff while maintaining a positive work environment

-Hiring and scheduling

-Have the ability to teach, develop, and help staff advance their skills

-Working with and being supportive of the front of house staff

-Ability to remain calm under pressure

-Focus oriented on creating the best guest experiences possible

-Strong organization and communication skills

-Experience with food costing, ordering, and building relationships with vendors

-Able to work in a fast-paced environment

-Prioritizing the use of local and seasonal products

-Creativity and passion for great food.
