Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager role with responsibility and accountability for leading AECOM’s digital transformation efforts in implementing multiple IT project initiatives.The position will be telecommute/virtual and can be based in Houston or Dallas, TX.The Senior IT Project Manager will work across multiple business lines, corporate communications, and an outsourced IT provider to manage both IT and business deliverables. He or she directs, manages, plans, and administers the operational and administrative activities of Information Technology and Business project teams which are assigned to a related set of large and complex projects, following the defined processes of the AECOM Program Management Office (PMO). The IT Sr. PM also assists with the management and provisioning of all hardware, software, and services required for the projects. The selected candidate forms strong relationships with the technical SME, IT and business stakeholders while partnering to resolve project related issues and reporting regularly to senior management on project progress and milestones. The candidate can facilitate efficient and effective status meetings and escalates issues and concerns appropriately. Effective business communication, project planning and execution is a must.The Senior IT PM will possess excellent technical project management skills required to manage the creation and day-to-day execution of the project plan utilizing critical path analysis and effective response to delays and setbacks.Job Functions

Responsible and accountable for delivering large projects on-time, on budget, and meeting functional and quality specifications.

Forecasts, manages, and reports on project financials, planned vs actual project schedule, and resource utilization.

Identifies resources needed to complete work and collaborates with resource manager(s) to assemble appropriate skills/teams.

Manages issues, risks, and changes using appropriate and agreed upon processes and tools established within the AECOM PMO.

Provides weekly status reports and can communicate to executive leadership.

Competencies

Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at various stages of completion.

Strong facilitation skills; communicates effectively with the project team and the business to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions as required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong understanding of various technologies including digital (AI, mobile apps, etc.), infrastructure (server, storage, networking), applications, cloud technologies, information security, and databases.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, plus at least 10 years of relevant IT project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including at least 2 years of leadership experience.

3+ years leading Agile projects with frequent software releases.

Demonstrated ability to lead in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall organization.

Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suites of products, (i.e., Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Understanding of basic information security protocols.

Demonstrated proficiency in use of project planning tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Primavera P6, Planner, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Cloud experience a bonus, moving technologies to the cloud.

Project Management Certification (CAPM or PMP) a plus

MBA or related advanced degree.

Experience with multiple project streams and leading teams of 10+.

Large enterprise project experience with budget $1million+.

Proven leadership experience including background in team development with the ability to mentor/coach team in senior or lead capacity.

Offered rate of compensation (TX locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
