Senior IT Project Manager Location: Houston, TX/Hybrid Duration: 6 months With Possible Contract to hire Description: Primary Skills Year(s) of Experience Must be proficient in Project methodology with an excellent ability to communicate 5 Years Microsoft Project 5 Years Stellar project manager with demonstrated ability to manage highly complex projects with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment including product development and infrastructure and networking projects 5 Years Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of related work experience Job Profile Summary Seeking a stellar project manager to provide advanced project management leadership for IT product development and/or infrastructure/networking projects aimed at delivering on business strategy Job Responsibilities Responsible for the oversight of the entire project lifecycle from project initiation to implementation for medium to large-sized project teams with moderate to high complexity and/or impact Identify project goals, needs, and scope Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including a project plan and schedule Plan, monitor, and document tasks throughout a project Ensure all tasks, deliverables, and project materials are delivered promptly Manage all resources necessary for project execution Foster effective communication with stakeholders concerning project status Foresee and strategically eliminate blocks and potential risks Ensure top-quality results and success for a project Interpret internal/external business environment Recommend best practices to improve processes or services Impacts achievements of customer, operational, project or service objectives Communicate difficult concepts to team to generate clarity and alignment on projects, initiatives, and various work products Perform specialized assignments; solves complex problems and develops non-traditional solutions through sophisticated analytical thinking May lead functional projects with moderate risks and resource requirements Individual contributor working independently; may require guidance in highly complex situations Perform all other duties as assigned by management Core Competencies Agility Decision making Detail oriented Effective communication Leadership Organization Prioritization Proactive Problem solving Professionalism Relationship building and management Team management Education Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred (Seems this manager wants the degree.)
