Vice President, US Healthcare Design

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, US Healthcare Design to join our People Rewards team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA, USA - HYBRID/3 days in office requirement.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

Research, benchmark, organize, analyze, interpret and present healthcare metrics from a variety of resources.

Through fact-based analysis this position will be responsible for gaining insight into BNY population health risks, identifying peer and vendor marketplace trends and best practices and maintaining expert knowledge of the rapidly changing healthcare marketplace.

Working with internal and external constituencies, the incumbent will formulate a data-driven approach to identify and recommend best-in-market programs to enhance member engagement, improve quality outcomes, enhance population health and wellbeing, and control costs.

Assist in preparation of senior management exhibits to make critical business decisions

Assist in implementation of any agreed upon benefit solutions, including partnering with broader internal and external stakeholders as well as reviewing various participant facing communications

Work with broader Benefits and Wellbeing team on developing and implementing innovative ways to actively engage our employees and their families in understanding and using their benefits in a meaningful way that maximizes the member experience and enhances overall perception

As program changes are contemplated, the US Health and Insurance Specialist will work with internal and external teams to develop and conduct vendor requests for information and proposals, analyze findings, evaluate vendor risk, negotiate contracts and implement programs to support BNY's healthcare strategy.

The position will analyze and report on vendor performance against contractual performance guarantees.To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

Bachelor's Degree required, preferably with significant quantitative work

3-5 years of experience in benefits consulting or benefits management demonstrating success in the design/management of large employer health and benefits plans; alternatively, similar experience in a consultative role gained at a carrier or vendor

Ability to develop analytics and analyze trends, develop meaningful recommendations, and communicate the information in a logical concise way

Knowledge of and experience with all aspects of the healthcare marketplace with emphasis on superior financial skills including prior experience in health and Insurance plan design, product pricing, benchmarking, underwriting, IBNR reserves, benefit accrual budgeting and valuation work is desired

Strong process and project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, re-prioritize as needed and problem solve autonomously

Experience in facilitating RFPs, negotiating annual renewals, evaluating plan documents and employee benefit communications is desired

Excellent executive presentation skills, able to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, and able to respectfully question or challenge others to think through problems, discover improvement opportunities and identify viable alternatives

Strong verbal and written communicat on skills, including the ability to prepare and present recommendations to various audiences including benefits management, executive management, internal corporate business units (i.e., Finance, Legal, Payroll), and our employees through annual benefit presentations as well as escalated complex individual inquiries

Must be able to work independently and effectively with a variety of internal teams and external resources, including consultants, vendors, legal counsel and industry groups.
