Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh, 15201 Pittsburgh USAPost Doctoral Associate Med-Medicine - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - 24007399 The Department of Medicine, Renal-Electrolyte Division, is hiring a Postdoctoral Associate.The successful candidate will hold a recently awarded PhD, MD, or equivalent in a science-related field. Prior work with the management of mouse colonies, mouse genotyping using PCR and gel electrophoresis was beneficial. Preferred experience with molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, including Western Blot, DNA-gel electrophoresis, RT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, co-immunoprecipitation, ELISA, cell culture, cell transfection, etc.Tasks include the following:
Perform a variety of independent laboratory and animal experiments.
Analyze and interpret data, compile results, and prepare reports.
Prepare and draft research results into manuscripts, proposals, grant applications, and presentations.
Maintain inventory, ordering, and logs.
Operate and properly maintain equipment.
Train undergraduates, junior lab members, and research technicians.
