THE POSITION
Are you an experienced administrative professional with a background in business and economic strategies? DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will collaborate with the Secretaries of the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to pinpoint key departmental priorities and formulate statewide initiatives that pertain to the dairy industry in the Commonwealth. Your responsibilities will include engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, such as industry representatives, the Center for Dairy Excellence to assess industry deficiencies and recognize its strengths, thereby fostering the growth and promotion of the Commonwealth's dairy sector. Additionally, you will be tasked with the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive statewide planning strategies aimed at improving both dairy production and processing.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
This position will require travel to dairy production sites.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as an Administrative Officer 2; or
Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.Preferred Qualification (not required):
Experience in the dairy industry, including knowledge of dairy production, processing, and marketing.How to Apply:
