Pastor? Outreach Coordinator? for at-risk Youth (faith-based)

We are seeking an Outreach Coordinator to be a part of a team of local missionaries in the Portland / Vancouver Metro area.

We serve at-risk youth, ages 14-24, who are in need of housing, life skills, job training and support services. Our goal is to lead youth toward healthy self-sufficiency and away from dependency on services. We are a Christ-centered program and are seeking ministry minded people who see this work as an opportunity to engage in local missions.

The scope of the position is to be boots on the ground in reaching youth who are in need of housing, life-skills, job training, or basic needs. This individual will work with other youth agencies, the foster care system, OYA, WYA, churches, government programs. They should be a self-starter, work well independently as well as with groups. They will work directly with the youth we serve in assisting with independent living skills and goals that lead to healthy self-sufficiency.

A good candidate might be someone who has a ministry background or someone who has wanted to get into ministry. They should be organized, passionate about their gifting, and being a part of a team, someone who enjoys the working with at-risk youth, the faith community, government agencies and the general public.
