LOCATION: Tigard, OR

SALARY: $22 - $28 per hour

SCHEDULE: Full-Time/Temporary-to-Hire / Fri – Sun 5 am to 5:30 pm

INDUSTRY: Manufacturing

THE ROLE

The CNC Router Operator II is responsible for set-up and operation of the CNC Router. They will read blueprints, monitor Line side inventory and perform maintenance activities as needed. The CNC Router Operator will also record labor for job tracking and lead projects as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up and operate CNC Router to inch and metric drawing specifications

Act as technical resource regarding tooling and machining capabilities.

Evaluate and justify new tooling and machining processes.

Communicate issues relating to work orders, material shortages or errors.

Continuous focus on reduction of material, labor and scrap.

Perform minor maintenance activities as required by the preventive maintenance program.

Continued education and training including, but not limited to: ISO 9001, safety, blueprint reading, teamwork

Maintain cleanliness of work area.

Demonstrated ability to differentiate and machine various plastics including WPP, NPP, FRPP, Polycarbonate, PVC, Acrylic, UHMW, Delrin, PTFE, PFA, and PVDF.

Interact with engineering on designs of parts

SKILLS AND MUST-HAVES

3 - 5 years’ experience in manufacturing

Proficient math skills in trigonometry

Skilled at reading blueprint drawings

Able to maintain and inspect functional tooling.

Must be able to read and understand machine codes.

Must be able to read and interpret engineered drawings in decimal and fractional inch units.

Demonstrated ability to set up CNC machine loading programs, tools, fixtures and setting tool offsets.
