Network and Desktop Support Techician

MSP serving metro-area small businesses seeks full-time Field Technician/Network Techs to provide remote/onsite support from our Brooklyn office, for a wide variety of clients and systems. Candidates must have experience working effectively with clients, have excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. The position will be exposed to many different environments/systems, providing ample opportunities for growth and experience.

This position REQUIRES that the applicant:

Have a vehicle they can drive to Brooklyn daily and use to visit clients. This role cannot be performed from home. Vehicle costs are reimbursed.

Have experience INSTALLING and maintaining Windows Servers and Network infrastructure (Firewalls, routers)

Have experience configuring and managing local and cloud system backups (I.e. Veritas/Acronis/WBS/Carbonite)

Typical tasks include:

Installing and maintaining Windows servers, Windows/MAC computers, and Network/Internet infrastructure

Installing and maintaining software applications (MSOffice, QB), Office365 Email, server/desktop security tools

Installing and maintaining Firewalls, VPN connections, managed switches/routers

Configuring and monitoring local and cloud backup systems (AWS, Backup Exec, Carbonite, Acronis)

Job Requirements:

Must be organized, attentive, able to communicate clearly and effectively, have excellent troubleshooting skills and experience with a broad range of systems and products.

Must have a valid drivers license and be able to bring an automobile daily to use for local travel to client sites expenses reimbursed.

Must have at least three years paid experience providing similar services.

Must have experience installing and maintaining: Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, SATA/SAS storage w/RAID, Installing/terminating/testing Cat 5/6 cabling.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Microsoft MCSA/MCSE certifications or equivalent, Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining SonicWALL firewalls/routers, Eset NOD32 security products, HP Servers, MAC computers, Office 365, QuickBooks.
