About Alteronce Gumby Studio:
Alteronce Gumby Studio is the creative house of artist Alteronce Gumby. The studio works year round to support Alteronce’s practice.
Job Description:
In your role, you’ll work closely with the studio manager to support the flow of all in house operations. The studio works daily to facilitate scheduling and communications with clients & partnering galleries, create supporting materials, archiving and location management of artwork, social media, along with aiding exhibition debuts and creative projects. Some of your main focuses will be creating supportive materials to maintain studio operations, social media coverage, and overseeing the shipping and packaging for Alteronce Gumby Store amongst other areas of support (data entry/management of Artlogic). In case of the studio manager's absence, you may be asked to maintain registration along with your regular tasks.
You’ll need to report to the studio (in person) three days out of the week, Tuesday through Thursday from 10:00AM–3:00PM, with the opportunity for additional hours.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the art community, appropriate tone of business, studio practices.
- Experience with film production.
- Eager to learn and work collaboratively.
- Flexibility in a creative environment.
- Keen eye for detail and design.
- Knowledge of Adobe softwares: Photoshop, Premiere Pro etc. (must be willing to learn)
- Knowledge of the following softwares: Mailchimp, Google Drive, Squarespace, Shopify, Artlogic, Canva.
- Respectful of different identities.
