NYC company with multiple private event spaces is looking for passionate and creative Social Media Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate is initiative, self-motivated, positive & eager to achieve results while maintaining a team-player attitude. Must have excellent organizational, time management & communication skills, an eye for design & particular brand aesthetic, experience in creating and editing content & managing SM channels as well as knowledge of marketing, PR and running influencer campaigns that would contribute to the company’s growth on social media platforms. Expertise in photography & videography is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Content:

Develop and manage content for IG, TT, FB, YT, Threads, work with Meta Suite

Strategize and implement original content that would improve brand’s online presence, expand following as well as increase client conversion rate

Create & edit engaging reels, posts & stories tailored to our target audience while ensuring the company’s vision, values & personality are conveyed

Write compelling & informative captions & CTA’s that would resonate with our audience, encourage engagement, drive traffic and increase awareness

Designing unique & appealing on-brand visuals for carousels, stories, promotional or special events

Write engaging Threads that would drive attention to the brand, expand target audience and expedite overall growth on the platform

Optimize content for each SM platform while understanding the difference in content delivery and nuances pertaining to demographics, hooks, captions & CTA’s

Plan and schedule weekly content using Meta Suite publishing tools

Generate fresh content ideas and formats that resonate with our brand and audience.

Monitor social media trends and insights to optimize content and timing

Attend weekly team meetings to brainstorm, strategize content creation as well as review & evaluate social media content quality, performance, engagement rate and effectiveness.

Track and analyze social media insights & metrics, provide weekly & monthly report on performance for each platform with recommendations on performance improvement

Capturing high-quality images & videos of our various spaces may be required

Work efficiently with the existing content library while keeping it organized

Collaborations & Campaigns:

Source and implement influencer campaigns & opportunities that would be beneficial for the brand’s exposure

Develop relationship with social media creators & influencers in NYC

Create & manage paid ads and partnerships with DOM approval

SM Community Management:

Monitor & respond to inquiries, messages, comments on all SM channels in a timely & professional manner

Engage with existing audience & foster a community of loyal followers

Requirements:

Proven experience in a social media & digital marketing and content creation

Proactive thinker with a self-starter personality, go-getter attitude with a detail-oriented mindset

Ability to communicate efficiently, work independently & manage multiple projects as well as collaborate with the team, set priorities & meet deadlines, and adhere to brand standards

Creative problem solving & proactive troubleshooting

Understanding of all social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Threads, Facebook, TikTok & YouTube

Understanding of social media trends, analytics, advertising and ability analyze, adjust and improve strategies based on received data

Experience in building and growing social media communities, ability to provide examples

Strong copywriting & editing skills ability to provide examples

Knowledge of Photo Editing & Design Apps (LightRoom, Snapseed, PicsArt, Photo Room, Canva)

Knowledge of Video Editing Apps (CapCut, InShot, VN, built-in IG)

Proficiency in Microsoft and Apple technologies

Experience with file sharing software including Google Docs & Drive, iCloud, AirDrop, Dropbox, Microsoft One Drive

Passion for content creation, design, marketing, PR and social media as a whole

This is a part-time freelance position that will be ideal for someone who is looking to work remotely and attend occasional virtual meetings with a monthly in-person review of all accomplished work and future goals.

Hours: 20-25 hours/week

Pay: $20/hr with room for growth
