Lead Barista - Seasonal Outdoor Cafe

Purslane, the exclusive caterer at the Prospect Park Boathouse, is opening a counter-service cafe that will operate this summer serving cold brew, filter coffee, and to-go sandwiches and pastries. We are looking for a barista with strong problem-solving and customer service skills to join our team to lead opening and closing procedures, as well as ensure daily prep and service runs smoothly.

We are looking to launch with a morning to afternoon schedule from Thursday-Sunday, with evening hours featuring canned wine and beer on weekdays. Our team members start at $16 hourly with tips.

This role will be responsible for:

-Brewing cold and hot coffee daily

-Receiving and taking daily inventory of incoming and leftover food

-Ensuring location is clean and secure at the end of each shift

-Communicating concerns and maintenance to offsite management

-Updating weekly public hours
