Fine Dining Food Runner

We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Food Runner to join our team. As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate closely with the kitchen supervisor to ensure all food orders are delivered quickly to the correct table.

2. Present each dish to a guest with the correct description.

3. Know the menu back and forth.

4. Respond promptly to customer requests or concerns in a polite and professional manner.

5. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the line area.

6. Communicate effectively with both kitchen staff and servers in a high intensity kitchen environment.

7. Assist with additional tasks as assigned by management, such as restocking supplies or assisting with shift preparation.

8. Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

1. Prior experience as a Food Runner or similar role in a fine dining establishment is crucial.

2. A friendly and outgoing personality with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

3. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

4. Must be able to carry multiple heavy plates and walk quickly for the duration of a five-hour shift.

5. Excellent self-hygiene and the ability to maintain a tidy and professional appearance and demeanor.

6. A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times.

7. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.

8. Spanish language skills are helpful but not required.
