OverviewWould you like to start your career in a busy hospital setting?We at M Health Fairview are looking for a Patient Transporter to join our team at our University of MN Medical Center East Bank Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. We are approved for a 0.5 FTE (40 hours per pay period) on the evening shift (2:30p-1100p) with an every other weekend requirement. We also offer shift differentials of $0.69/hr for evenings, $0.84/hr for nights, $0.50/hr for weekends!Responsibilities Job DescriptionJob Summary :The patient transporter is responsible for assisting in the transfer and transport of patients and will work in a collaborative environment so that the goals and objectives of treatment are achieved. The Senior Hospital Carrier will assist as needed with the physical move, lift, transfer and transport patients on the hospital premises in a timely, efficient, customer service-oriented manner.Job Expectations:Responsible for safe physical transfer and transport of patients throughout the University Campus. Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness to assure timely patient delivery. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of safety protocols, infection control standards and emergency preparedness. Ensure patient satisfaction by providing prompt and timely responses to all transport related tasks. Provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and all members of the medical team. Utilize provided technology to accurately record Transport data. Continuously works to improve interpersonal skills and relationships. Communicates continuously with team members, medical staff and dispatch.QualificationsRequirements:

Strong communication skills.

Current BLS certification
