Senior Staff Accountant - Contractor to FTE

Small family owned Tax & Accounting firm (former CPA firm) with two locations within the Twin Cities is looking for contractor-to-hire candidates.

Candidate must have a working knowledge of our main tax software; CCH ProSystem Fx.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling Corporate & Individual tax preparation

CPA or EA (or candidate) a plus, but not required

Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Key Responsibilities

Assist with bookkeeping and perform bank reconciliations using QuickBooks

Prepare payroll reports, sales tax filings, property tax returns, and payroll tax returns

Prepare individual, partnership, LLC, and corporate income tax returns using CCH ProSystem Fx.

Communicate with clients on accounting and tax-related matters

Conduct research on accounting and tax issues as needed

Coordinate with tax authorities on behalf of clients
