Design and implement scalable software solutions for university offices, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
Collaborate with teams to translate business requirements into features, continuously enhancing applications and integrations using modern technologies
Follow enterprise best practices, including TDD, CI, and CD, primarily with Java and Microsoft stacks
Adhere to MSU IT policies, respond to incidents, and maintain documentation, while staying current with evolving technologies.

Minimum RequirementsKnowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in an information technology area related to the duties to be performed; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
Two years of software development experience
Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
Experience with JAVA
Experience with Classic ASP.
Experience with Relational Databases (i.e. MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.).
Experience with Web API technologies.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Solutions.
Experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP).
Experience with Web technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript/Typescript.
Experience with source code management software (i.e. GIT, SVN, etc.).
Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with stakeholders.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
