Lasell Village is a unique life plan community with education at its heart, located on the beautiful campus of Lasell University in Newton. We are a caring and vibrant community home to more than 225 residents in independent living apartments, supported living studios, and a 5-star skilled nursing and rehabilitative facility.
We are looking to add a Lead Cook to our fabulous team. Lasell Village is a scratch kitchen.
As a Lead Cook, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations. Your attention to detail, culinary skills, and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the success of our ala carte restaurant style menu, with 8 entrees that change daily.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and meets customer expectations
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
Clean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· 2 years culinary experience
. High school diploma, some college a plus
JOB SKILLS:
Previous experience in the food industry, hotel, or restaurant
Knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques
Proficiency in using knives and other kitchen tools
Familiarity with restaurant operations and meal preparation
Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
Knowledge of computers and basic software
