Associate Creative Director, Design
Maryland, Baltimore, 21240 Baltimore USAThe Associate Creative Director, Copy is responsible for all copy generated at OMF. Managing a team of 4 copywriters, the ideal candidate will have the ability to translate business objectives into platform and messaging strategies that unify our core value propositions. A thirst for knowledge about our audiences and how they engage with OMF will be critical, as will the ability to tell stories across channels.Combining experience in content strategy, brand adherence and copywriting, the ACD candidate will have deep knowledge of social, web, marketing/promotional, direct (email), blog, UX/UI and advertising content development. Experience working with business stakeholders to understand goals and audiences is a key part of this role.In the Role:· Own the development and relevance of all content at OMF· Shape and maintain the OMF brand tone and voice and how it applies to effective and successful content· Work closely with cross functional teams including content producers, business owners, UX managers and marketing leaders to ensure all content meets their goals.· Partner with brand stakeholder teams to develop and maintain a consistent, easily usable content depository as part of your brand guidelines· Manage and mentor an internal team of four, providing feedback on assigned work and support in prioritizing workloads and process· Partner with the ACD of Design to work with multiple vendors for social, video and overflow in various capacities - brainstorming, writing, editing and managing· Work with the Creative Director to lead brainstorms and concept-development sessions· Lead. concept and/or write content that ties to an omnichannel strategy:
Web, email, social/digital, direct mail, UX, print, events and internal communications
· Collaborate with the Creative Account Manager to assign projects and attend kick off meetings· Partner with design peers to concept direct response, advertising and engagement ideas and bring those concepts with clear rational that ties to business goalsRequirements:· 8+ years of experience of marketing/direct copy development in social, email, UX and advertising· 4+ years as a strategist and content designer· 4+ years’ experience managing and mentoring a copywriter team· Demonstrated strategic planning projects that hit business goals· Demonstrated managing and applying brand tone and voice in accordance with brand guidelines· Experience utilizing direct response best practices· A strong desire to understand the needs and wants of our audiences and our competitive environment· Possess an eye for quality writing and the ability to build a powerful story· Ability to quickly grasp assignments, make decisions and determine next steps· Experience in managing and mentoring an experienced copywriting team· Ability to collaborate with peers and coworkers and create an inclusive creative environment· Demonstrated experience in working with an omnichannel content strategy· Solid presenter that can back up work with a clear rationale tied to strategy· Proficiency in Word, PPT, InDesign, Miro and FigmaPreferred:· Financial experience or regulated industry a plus· A mix of in-house and agency experience· UX experience preferredLocation: Hybrid Baltimore, MD Wilmington, DEWho we AreOneMain Financial (NYSE: OMF) is the leader in offering nonprime customers responsible access to credit and is dedicated to improving the financial well-being of hardworking Americans.
