Maryland, Baltimore, 21240 Baltimore USAThe Johns Hopkins University Department of Genetic Medicine is seeking a casual/on call Research Program Assistant in the Kasper Center of Excellence for Pediatric Genetic Syndromes with Aortopathy Precision Medicine (Aortopathy PMCOE). The Aortopathy PMCOE is a philanthropically funded research organization focused on developing the precision medicine platform for genetic Aortopathies such as Marfan, Loeys-Dietz and Vascular Ehlers Danlos syndromes. The Aortopathy PMCOE uses a highly collaborative approach that utilizes the patient electronic health records to build a research registry to be used to develop predictive algorithms for use in personalized medicine.Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigators and Data Research Managers, the Research Program Assistant is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operational tasks of the program. The Research Program Assistant is responsible for the organization and function of the entry, maintenance and accuracy of all electronic data files and will assist with organization of clinical research information. This is an entry level position in program organization and program operations that will involve patient data entry and quality control.Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Collect, enter and compile clinical data from a variety of health record sources.
Attend in-person clinics (approximately once per week) to assist with data entry during patient evaluations.
Confirm patient registrations and relevant data points in databases for Precision Medicine Center of Excellence (PMCOE).
Meet regularly with program managers to review data accuracy and overall study progress.
Assist with the completion of literature review and data analysis for research projects.
Assist with the preparation of research presentations and reports.
Attend in-service and external training, workshops, clinics, conferences, and other relevant programs for skills development.
Compile materials for communication with research sponsors.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
Some related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in clinical settings (e.g., clerical, volunteer work, or shadowing experience in hospitals or clinics).
Some college courses.
Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
