Production Assistant making Tempeh

Opportunity to become a member of the team at Tootie’s Tempeh, a Biddeford, Maine-based worker-owned cooperative and sustainable producer of tempeh, a fermented, organic, and locally sourced plant protein. This production position supports the Operations Manager and other Production Assistants in the tempeh-making and packaging processes. Duties include, but are not limited to: line work for packaging including heat/cool treatment, drying, packaging and labeling case boxes, and clean-up/washing/sanitizing. Prior food production experience helpful as well as experience working with food-related equipment. A passion for healthy food and fermentation and an interest in coops is a plus.
