Indiana, Elkhart, 46514 Elkhart USADescriptionRegional Chains Sales Manager - NortheastPurpose and Scope/General Summary: The Regional Chains Sales Manager will act within Pilgrim’s established business goals and objectives to plan, develop and implement strategies in pursuit of Regional Chain business growth, within their defined geography. Critical to this role is the ability to engage Regional Chains directly and lead the work of cross-functional teams (culinary, category, etc.) This role will collaborate with the Sr. Director of Commercial Chains to create strategic, integrated customer business plans that improve our ability to capitalize on opportunities for growth within defined customer groups and mitigate risk is core to the position. The Regional Chains Sales Manager will deliver on assigned volume and financial objectives within specified targets.The ideal candidate will be located in the Northeastern region, from Minnesota to Massachusetts.Responsibilities:
Prepared Centric Role, developing region to 25-50MM lbs. of Prepared Business
Regional expert for Pilgrim’s further processed products and plant capabilities.
Deliver growth to region by establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with Regional Chain targets within a defined region, to exceed KPIs.
Utilize Pilgrim’s Sales Process (PSP) to become an expert in developing ‘Top 100’ operators.
Collaborate and coordinate with Sr. Director of Commercial Sales, other key PPC team members, and key broker personnel, to achieve operator growth targets within region.
Manage and maintain a robust pipeline within the region to deliver upon KPIs
Review operator program analytics and conduct regular meetings with key personnel to measure results and adjust operational plan.
Negotiate program agreements for assigned Operators, as necessary.
Support business development activities including customer conventions, industry and regional trade shows.
Regular collaboration with Sales leadership to develop regional operator strategies and execute national initiatives.
Effectively manage MDF funds, at a regional level, to support growth initiatives with key operators.
Be informed about and communicate key operator developments that may affect organizational results.
Coordinate with Pilgrim’s internal, cross-functional teams to gain an overall understanding of the Food Service industry and Pilgrim’s business.

Qualifications:
5+ years minimum sales experience in the food service industry, preferably within the poultry or overall protein industry.
Key Regional Account relationships to drive immediate impact
Bachelor of Science degree required.
Extensive travel required (estimated 50%+)
Superior planning and organizational skills.
Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
Proficiency with computer applications required.
Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
Base salary range of $130,000 - $160,000; and
Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
