Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.This position supports the development and implementation of Caterpillar sustainability initiatives, communicates progress and opportunities and provides key information for use with customer and investor engagements for sustainability.What You Will Do:
Manage Caterpillar responses to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) surveys from rating agencies, including updates on trends, opportunities, and recommendations for leadership and investor audiences.
Lead project management, review process and timeline of Caterpillar’s annual Sustainability Report.
Provide sustainability expertise to confirm alignment of company marketing materials to enterprise sustainability messaging guidelines, as well as provide timely responses to customer sustainability requests.
Gather, benchmark, and analyze data related to sustainability initiatives and outcomes, including reviewing reporting, gathering data, and developing communications to convey key messages for leadership.
Lead process improvement and documentation efforts for sustainability initiatives. Procedure development and governance structures for sustainability.
What You Have:

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems

Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization
Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project
Top Candidates will also have:
Degree in engineering, environmental science, sustainability management, business management with sustainability emphasis, or similar
Previous experience in project management, governance structures, and/or process development and implementation
Previous experience with ESG ratings agencies, sustainability reporting, and/or GHG emissions
Additional Details:
Location: Peoria, IL or Dallas, TX
Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
Required Travel: Up to 20% depending on leader & team locations
Employee may also be responsible for performing other job duties occasionally as assigned
