Illinois, Chicago, 60601 Chicago USAMcDonald’s is seeking a dynamic Communications Measurement & Insights (CM&I) Supervisor to join Global Communications within the Global Impact function. The role is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a newly established in-house team at one of the most recognizable brands in the world. It requires an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for data, and a desire to make an impact.As a member of CM&I, you will help strengthen and protect McDonald’s business by facilitating data-driven decision making and prioritization through unlocking reputation and communications-based insights. The team leverages a reputational health tracking study (primary research), secondary research, traditional/social media data, and owned channel analytics to collect, analyze, and share takeaways with key internal partners.Each CM&I team member drives the implementation and continuous development of a center of excellence (COE) infrastructure, which includes collaborating with the larger team to standardize planning/measurement frameworks, playbooks, processes, deliverables, and points of integration across McDonald’s international markets.This person will be responsible for helping develop the team’s COE strategy and infrastructure, in addition to supporting the Managers leading reputation and issues/trends workstreams.Reputation Measurement & InsightsReputation Tracking Program: Partner with CM&I’s Reputation Manager and agency on McDonald’s reputational health quantitative tracking study that uncovers stakeholder (internal and external audiences) and initiative insights to guide Global Impact’s agenda. Oversee primary research project workflows and lead day-to-day efforts including internal audience survey recruitment and the collection of information on quarterly reputation initiatives for performance measurement. Find opportunities to strengthen the research design and processes. Build tools to increase understanding and usage of the research.Reputation Insights Reporting: Help to develop two core research deliverables that analyze the health of McDonald’s reputation and provide forward-looking insights for planning & strategy development. Conduct report reviews, workshop key takeaways, simplify data visualizations, and prepare shareouts for the Global Impact team.Strategic Planning Support: Leverage results from the reputation tracking program and supplemental resources to find opportunities for McDonald’s to strengthen customer perceptions. Work with Supervisors, Managers, and Directors across Global Impact on varying ad-hoc requests, for example key message development and data-driven prioritization of efforts.Issues/Trends Measurement & InsightsIssues/Crisis Reporting: Support CM&I’s Issues/Trends Manager on monitoring and assessing the potential short and long-term impact of external issues on reputation. Help to define the insights approach based on business needs, oversee agency execution, and integrate data from other teams (ex. Customer Care, Government Relations/Public Policy, Global Security). Focus primarily on traditional/social media, while using ad-hoc flash polling, as needed. Provide updates to cross-functional working teams.Trend Analyses: Lead analyses on stakeholder audience interests and expectations regarding social issues to guide planning. Use primary and secondary research, along with traditional/social media data to understand trends related to McDonald’s, its competitors, the industry, and/or society.Media Monitoring: Supervise the media monitoring infrastructure, including media alerts on notable mentions of McDonald’s in traditional media, early detection of mis/disinformation on social media, and ongoing officer media briefings. Ensure agency teams are executing efficiently and are delivering information aligned to business interests. Share breaking information swiftly with key partners.Strategic Planning Support: Leverage results from the reputation tracking program, ad-hoc flash polling, and supplemental resources to understand potential risks and to inform action planning. Work with Crisis Communications and Crisis Management teams on varying ad-hoc requests, for example horizon scanning and geopolitical insights reports.Center of Excellence Infrastructure Implementation & DevelopmentImplementation: Support execution of CM&I’s roadmap and plans for scaling the standardized monitoring, measurement, and insights infrastructure across McDonald’s international marketsAid in the creation of CM&I resources for partners, outlining key details on processes, tools, KPIs/metrics, goals, and deliverablesHave a strong familiarity with CM&I proactive, issues/trends, reputation, and performance workstreams and see opportunities to partner with teammates on integrated solutionsDevelopment: Test and optimize the infrastructure and processes to ensure CM&I is effectively supporting its colleaguesWork with tech providers and agencies to ensure data/analytics Dashboards and deliverables meet business needsContinuously collect feedback and find efficienciesAgency & Vendor ManagementManage vendors to develop and implement measurement and insights road mapProvide clear, consistent, and timely input and feedback for stronger deliverablesEstablish milestones and ensure tasks are tracked accordinglyRelationship BuildingDevelop and maintain relationships with Global Impacts markets and Centers of Excellence, including Global Security, Sustainability and Social Impact, Diversity, Government Relations/Public Policy, and Philanthropy/RMHC, as well as Global Insights.Represent the Global Communications team both internally within the McDonald’s System and externally at industry and business functions, events, etc.Benefits eligible: Yes

The expected salary range for this role is $87,050 – $108,810/ per year
