Retail Sales Associate - Battleship Missouri Memorial Battleshop (Gift Shop)

We are seeking customer service-oriented candidates for Retail Sales Associates at the Battleship Missouri Memorial Battleshop. This is a part-time hourly position at $17.00 per hour.

Position Requirements:

Must be available to work at least one weekend day per week, military holidays, and occasional night shifts (primarily day shift).

Candidates must be able to pass a background check to receive employee access to Ford Island from Joint Base Pearl Harbor.

About the Battleship Missouri Memorial:

The USS Missouri, known affectionately as the "Mighty Mo," stands in the hallowed waters of Pearl Harbor. Here, you will develop a deep respect for our military's honor, duty, and sacrifice. As part of the Battleshop team, you will be an ambassador for the Mighty Mo, helping uphold its prestigious legacy while providing EXTRAordinary experiences for all our guests. Every purchase made in our shop helps to supports the Battleship Missouri Memorial.

Qualifications:

Energetic, reliable, punctual, dependable, and trustworthy

Flexible and adaptable to changing routines, priorities, and job conditions

Able to stand for long periods, work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and climb ladders

Excellent customer service skills with a genuine Aloha spirit

Ability to work cooperatively with a diverse team of staff, clients, and vendors

Computer skills required (POS system, email, and internet)

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Cashiering

Stock replenishment

Sanitation

Guest service and greeting

Additional Information:

Flexible hours, with primarily day shift availability

The location is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day

The successful candidate will be dependable, punctual, adaptable to change, and a team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
