Retail Music Sales Associate (for Paia & Wailea locations)

We're looking for a full-time or part-time sale associate for both our Wailea & Paia store locations. Ideally this person is a music enthusiast who has experience in sales, love to interact with people, plays some guitar or ukulele, friendly and hard working.

Responsibilities and Scope of Work:

- Must have strong verbal skills and be able to assist customers in choosing the most appropriate instruments given their profile; demonstrate the instruments so the customer can get a better idea of what each sounds like

- Responsible for selling instruments, musical accessories, equipment, supplies, and/or sheet music and other retail items

- Responsible for performing cashier functions physically ringing up sale, arranging for shipping out sold items, sales reports, and more

- Provide a shopping experience that will encourage customers to return by demonstrating good product knowledge, friendly personal presentation, professional and strong customer service skills

- Ability to work effectively as a team with other sales associates and foster wholesome interpersonal relationships

- Experience and knowledge of POS computer systems

- Responsible for store opening and closing functions

- Inventory management duties including taking inventory of existing merchandise and keeping tabs on store inventory needs

- Able to stand and walk around during scheduled hours

- Able to unload and unpack shipments, arrange and move store fixtures and merchandise packages up 50 pounds

- Able to use store equipment including cash registers, box cutters, scissors, hand truck, etc.

- Able to perform cleaning functions - vacuuming, glass cleaning, wiping instruments and store fixtures
