Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Bowen Plant)

Job Summary
Maintain and repair construction vehicles, heavy equipment, and class A road trucks.
Essential Functions
Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance skills are required.
Knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, engine, transmission, and AC systems.
Operate and inspect heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
Read and understand repair, operators, and troubleshooting manuals and schematics.
Must fabricate and weld.
May perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Training Requirements:
Trans Ash will provide the necessary safety training for the job.
Experience:
Must have 5-10 years of experience.
Other information:
Must have own tools.
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, operate vehicles and small equipment.
Must be able to work in a construction environment.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, MVR, and background check.
