job detailsOur client located in the heart of Lake Nona, FL is seeking a highly organized and compassionate Medical Office Administrator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our medical office by overseeing administrative tasks, managing patient interactions, and coordinating with healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration or a related field is a plus.

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.

Proficient in medical billing software, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.

Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare regulations is a plus.

Patient Interaction: Greet and check in patients, answer inquiries, and manage patient scheduling. Ensure that patient information is accurate and up-to-date.

Administrative Tasks: Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence. Maintain medical records, organize files, and ensure patient confidentiality.

Billing and Insurance: Process billing and insurance claims, verify insurance eligibility, and handle payments. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues.

Office Coordination: Order and manage office supplies, oversee equipment maintenance, and maintain a clean and welcoming reception area.

Support Healthcare Providers: Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient appointment scheduling.

Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and assist in preparing reports and other documentation as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration or a related field is a plus.
