Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices while maintaining strong relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy.Key Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks and electronic transfers.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records.

Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues.

Review and verify expense reports submitted by employees.

Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Continuously seek process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

Perform other accounting tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
