Care Partner / Nursing Assistant

Accountable and responsible for the provision of patient care and comfort under the direct supervision of a registered nurse according to established standards, policies, and procedures of Washington Health System.
Accurately reports information to the registered nurse.
Assists with clerical responsibilities for assigned patients.
Is competent in considering patient population specific age, developmental stages, and unique needs of assigned population.
Maintains the strictest confidentiality.
Adheres to all established HIPAA rules and regulations.
Adheres to all guidelines dealing with the electronic records, charts, completed documents, reports, and other documents associated with established organizational policies to ensure patient/family privacy and security.
Understands and respects the needs and expectations of patients and families to provide patient/family centered care.
Uses appropriate, courteous, respectful, unbiased verbal and written communication skills when interacting with patients/families, visitors, and other team members.
Schedule: Rotating days, weekends, and holidays. Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30AM-7PM and 6:30PM-7AM.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Certified Nursing Assistant or completion of a nursing assistant/nursing program, or two (2) years recent experience as a nursing assistant preferred.
One (1) three (3) years in a clerical position in healthcare - including physician office or insurance billing - with exposure to patient records, diagnoses, or dictation preferred.
Ability to perform tasks on attached Care Partner Core Skills Checklist or achieves satisfactory skill performance within 90 days of employment.
Requires interaction with electronic medical records and communication systems. Involves understanding written and oral instructions, reading, and understanding written material (e.g., medical records,) and basic math skills.
