Advanced Lead Carpenter - Located in Santa Cruz County

Are you a skilled professional spending hours a day commuting over the hill, to distant and unfulfilling projects? We are seeking a talented lead carpenter to supervise our team, building custom homes in the greater Santa Cruz area. This role requires a team player who will be working directly with the project manager and other team members to meet production and quality goals. It also involves planning, organizing, overseeing site production, maintaining records, employee and subcontractor supervision as well as carpentry skills. Responsibilities include:

Assigning and explaining tasks to the project team

Communicate with clients in a respectful manner

Adhere to project schedules with weekly and three week look aheads

Supervise our in-house carpenters and subcontractors

Perform carpentry as required including both rough and finish

Maintain accurate digital records with email, TSheets, Dropbox, etc.

Knowledge of current code standards

Own and operate required basic tools

Proficient interpretation of blueprints & shop drawings

Excellent time management skills

Effective communication skills

A valid driver's license
