Job Description:

As a Lead Carpenter - Construction Manager you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our construction projects. We work on high end residential homes all over the Bay Area. Having a strong knowledge of all of the trades involved in a remodel would be ideal. We sub out everything except the carpentry. You will be responsible for ordering materials, interpreting architectural and structural plans, managing subcontractors, conducting job site safety meetings, and overseeing a small team of skilled craftspeople. Additionally, you will need to have your own tools and a truck for transportation to job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Order construction materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency.

Read and interpret architectural and structural plans to ensure precise execution.

Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, managing their work and timelines.

Conduct regular job site safety meetings to enforce safety protocols and standards.

Lead and manage a small team of carpenters, providing guidance and support.

Ensure project quality, deadlines, and budgets are met.

Collaborate with project managers to provide progress reports and updates.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a carpenter in residential or commercial construction.

Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans.

Experience in managing subcontractors and coordinating their work.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Commitment to job site safety and knowledge of safety standards.

Must have your own tools and a reliable truck for transportation.

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
