Software Engineer, Delivery Assurance

Lob.com in San Francisco, California seeks multiple Software Engineer(s), Delivery Assurance.

Responsibilities: The Software Engineer, Delivery Assurance, is responsible for architecting and developing new API product offerings from the ground up; Designing and developing integrated software systems that are scalable, maintainable, and secure, using microservices written in a variety of programming languages; Modifying and improving upon existing APIs to correct errors and/or upgrade interfaces and improve product performance and customer experience; Evaluating trade-offs in software technology and effectively prioritizing tasks in alignment with strategic initiatives and company goals; Analyzing, assessing, and diagnosing what work supports the engineering strategy for current software and making insightful recommendations for software upgrades; Formulating migration strategies by understanding legacy codebases written in a variety of programming languages and formulating in a way that improves customer experience while minimizing risk; Collaborating with cross-company groups to troubleshoot business challenges, remove bottlenecks, and identify new opportunities for growth within Lob; Providing technical guidance to team members and communicating with senior stakeholders to encourage buy-ins and partnerships; and other duties as assigned. Salary ranges $140,000 - $160,000. Eligible for standard benefits. Individuals may reside anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in San Francisco, CA.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer and Information Technology, or closely related field (or foreign equivalent).

Requirements: Required special skills include: Knowledge of API development and security through coursework in Computer Organization and Computer Security; Knowledge of Software Systems and technologies, specifically SQL,

Python, and JavaScript, through coursework in Engineering like Software Development and Machine Learning; and Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture applications using AWS through coursework in Multidisciplinary Software Development and Machine Learning.
