AWS Cloud Engineer

Pow Genetic Solutions, Inc. in Berkeley, CA seeks an AWS Cloud Engineer.

Responsibilities: AWS Cloud Engineer is responsible for AWS cloud infrastructure build and support through all phases of project and cloud services lifecycle. More specific duties include: leading the design, development, and evolution of cloud infrastructure, balancing options for cost, performance, reliability, and security with business needs; consulting with stakeholders to specify requirements and solutions which address business challenges and opportunities; creating and supporting resources via infrastructure-as-code (IaC), including AWS networking and firewall tooling; building automation tools and frameworks with CI/CD pipelines; monitoring and developing cloud infrastructure solutions for optimal uptime, availability and scalability; troubleshooting issues with existing cloud-based applications and network resources to identify root causes and resolve issues quickly; participating in code reviews, tool evaluations, and architecture reviews; promoting and documenting best practices for cloud-based software development teams; and other duties as assigned. Salary range $148K - $180K. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in Berkeley, California.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering (or foreign equivalent).

Requirements: 2 years of experience in the job offered or related positions; 2 years of experience in requirements analysis and technical implementation; 2 years of experience in new features implementation and reporting on results; 2 years of experience in defects fixing based on provided defect reports; 2 years of experience in maintenance of the solution codebase; and 2 years of experience in improvements research and prototyping.
