Retrograde Coffee hiring PREP/BOH team members

Join our team of passionate individuals! We are seeking a back of house prep team member to join our crew. Food, bakery or prep experience is not necessary but appreciated.

Our ideal applicant is responsible, punctual, has good listening and communication skills. This job role is primarily an independent role: must be able to follow a list, read recipes accurately and uphold our standard for our house made goods.

We are seeking someone who loves food, is reliable and wants to contribute to an upbeat, team-oriented environment. Our kitchen is clean and organized with an easy to follow prep schedule posted for each day.

Some items we make in house are cold drinks (iced tea, cold brew, lemonade), non-dairy milk, flavored coffee syrups, cookies, sandwiches, tofu and egg patties, and pre-packaged retail goods like loose leaf tea and cold brew coffee. Other prep duties include portioning ingredients for service like deli meat, veggie sausage and mixed greens.

About the job:

- part time,18 - 24 hours, 2-3 days a week including at least one weekend day.

- Prep shifts are from 6:30 am - 12:30 pm, or 6:30 am - 3:30 pm depending on the day.

- Pay starts at $18/hour plus tips. Hourly tips earned are about an additional $10/hour on top of your hourly wage.

- Health care, sick leave, PTO and 401-k plans are available to all team members after 60 days of employment. Beverages and food are provided for breaks, as well as discounts when off-duty.

- Business hours: 7 am - 5 pm / 7 days a week
