Ideal candidate must have strong Personal Injury background, able to handle litigation cases independently from opening to closing, proficient in e-filing, able to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, must be a team player, but able to work with minimal supervision, manage own time effectively, maintain control over all current projects/responsibilities, follow up on all relevant issues, reliable and able to work under pressure.

Litigation Paralegal Roles & Responsibilities:

Research and analyze law, prepare and draft routine legal documents such as complaints, interrogatories, motions, briefs, pleadings for review and use by attorney.

Compile and prepare draft pleadings and discovery responses.

Categorize and interpret data; review and analyze reports, responses and records produced by opposing counsel.

Coordinate requests between multiple parties involved in litigation by way of consistent communication with client, claims and full partnership with attorney through end of case.

Day-to-Day Duties:

Prepare, organize, and file documents and correspondence.

Request medical records and bills.

Conduct legal research.

Draft Summons and Complains, Motions, Pleadings, Discovery, Notices of Depositions, Notices of Hearings, Subpoenas, Request for Copies, Agreed Orders, etc.

Update and maintain internal databases.

Prepare witnesses and other materials for case preparation.

Organize relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation.

Trial prep.

Process invoices, check requests for medical facilities and vendors.

Correspondence with clients, doctors, experts, court reporters, opposing counsels, witnesses, courts etc.

Prepare and organize cases for depositions, hearings, mediations and trials. In preparation for deposition advise client, hire court reporter, confirm deposition dates.

Prepare, draft and E-file all court documents.

Calendar deadlines and court dates, follow up on deadlines, maintain calendar, schedule events.

Data entry.

Litigation Paralegal Required Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

High attention to detail.

Resourceful research and analytical skills.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.

Self-check and follow up .

Knowledge of E-filing.

· Must be Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep up with deadlines.

Ability to work under pressure and ability to follow up on your own tasks.

· Proficient computer skills, with an ability to quickly learn new functions and applications.
