Role Description: Seeking The Next Gem
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Managing Director, Certified Public Accountant® (CPA®) to join our team and lead a group of licensed tax and accounting professionals while continuing to provide exceptional accounting and tax planning services to our clients. In this dual role, the Senior Managing Director will manage the team’s performance, mentor staff, and ensure the highest standards of client service. This individual will be responsible for helping clients achieve their personal and financial goals through tailored accounting solutions, tax planning strategies, and financial risk management, while fostering the professional growth and development of the team.
The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled Certified Public Accountant with demonstrated expertise in accounting, tax planning, and risk management. They will possess strong leadership abilities, managing a team of licensed professionals to deliver exceptional results. The candidate will excel in developing customized tax strategies that minimize liabilities, optimize deductions, and maximize savings for clients. They will also have the ability to navigate complex accounting issues, ensuring compliance and providing insightful financial analysis. They will also prioritize building strong, trust-based relationships with clients, empowering them to make informed decisions for long-term financial security and growth. Additionally, the candidate will be adept at identifying tax-saving opportunities and implementing accounting solutions that align with each client’s personal and business objectives.
Qualifications: The Sparkle Factor
Must hold a valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
7-10+ years of full-time experience in public accounting or corporate accounting, with a strong background in financial reporting, auditing, and compliance.
A proven track record of managing client relationships and experience leading and mentoring a team of licensed accounting and tax professionals.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Proficiency in ProConnect and QuickBooks accounting and tax preparation software.
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, including tax planning and preparation, with extensive experience preparing individual and business income tax returns, understanding of tax laws
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and implement customized strategies.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a client-first mindset.
Ability to manage multiple client relationships and prioritize effectively with strong networking abilities to cultivate and expand client relationships.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Business Development & Strategy: The Senior Managing Director will collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategies that expand the firm’s client base and accounting services. This includes supporting marketing initiatives and participating in client engagements to promote tax services and solutions. Their efforts will help maintain the firm’s reputation as a leader in tax and accounting services.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices is crucial. The Senior Managing Director will implement and enforce firm policies related to client confidentiality, ethical standards, and tax law compliance, promoting a culture of integrity. Regularly reviewing compliance protocols will safeguard the firm’s reputation and maintain client trust.

This position offers a commission-based earning structure, with anticipated annual earnings between $143,257 and $267,856+. Actual income will vary based on individual performance, experience, and the volume of business generated. As an independent contractor, your compensation is directly linked to your sales achievements, client relationships, and ability to earn additional income through referrals and team-building opportunities. There is no fixed salary, allowing you to unlock unlimited earning potential based on your success.
