Part Time Back Office In Ophthalmology Practice

Immediate part time opening in our busy ophthalmology practice. We are seeking an employee to work with patients in our back office. This is a part time position but it is permanent. Hours for this position are 8:30 to 12:30 every other Monday morning, everyTuesday morning, every other Wednesday morning and every Thursday morning (i.e. three mornings a week) OR M-F afternoons, 1-5:30.

Back office duties to include:

-rooming patient

-taking patient history

-checking visual acuity

-dilating

-operating various pieces of testing equipment (lensometer, auto refractor, visual field analyzer, ocular coherence tomography machine (OCT)

-patient charting via EMR software using Mac computer

Good grammar, communication skills and a clear speaking voice are needed. You must be able to read, write and speak English well, please. Successful applicant must be punctual, responsible, hardworking, pleasant, courteous, well groomed, willing to learn and ready to work. You will also need computer (Mac) experience. Experience in a private medical practice is preferred and experience in an ophthalmology or optometry practice is a huge plus.
