We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Chef to lead the kitchen team at our high-end sushi restaurant located in the Valley.

We currently operate two restaurant locations and are actively planning our third and fourth locations. This position is for a chef who can grow with the company and eventually take a leadership role overseeing kitchen operations across all locations.

Our restaurant is a large-scale operation, approximately 5,000 square feet, focused on high-quality ingredients, consistency, and strong collaboration between kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Compensation

Annual salary: $85,000 – $95,000 plus tips

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications

Benefits

5 days of paid vacation after one year of employment

Preferred Experience

Prior experience as a Head Chef, Lead Chef, or Senior Kitchen Chef

Experience in high-end or upscale dining restaurants is strongly preferred

Experience managing large kitchen teams or high-volume operations is a plus

Sushi or Japanese cuisine experience is highly preferred

Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations and service execution

Lead, train, and support kitchen staff

Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards

Help develop systems and standards that can be scaled across multiple locations

Work closely with ownership and management to support future expansion

Ensure cleanliness, safety, and health department compliance
