seeking part-time food runners/cashiers

As a Runner or Cashier, you are truly the face of Courage Bagels! You’ll be answering questions and demonstarting an understanding of our menu and offerings, while hand delivering food and drinks to our customers with enthusiasm and a smile. Our customers are excited to be here and we want them to feel welcome at all times! You will also set up the dining area each morning, to clean up and break it back down at the end of the day. To thrive in our high-paced environment, this role requires positivity, the ability to problem solve quickly and true enthusiasm for fresh, nourishing food.

This position will start as part time, but more hours will be available to those that demonstrate a true understanding of the role and excel at the job.

You will be responsible for…

— Providing world-class customer service to every customer you come in contact with.

— Organizing, labeling, and bagging each order accurately.

— Delivering each order confidently to the customer with a genuine “Thank You!”

— Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of all customer areas, including the Front of House and Dining Area

— Accurately taking orders from customers when needed on the handheld POS device.

— Setting up and breaking down the dining area daily.

What we need from you:

— Open Availability Thursday through Monday from 6am to 3pm.

— Based locally to the 90029 zip code with reliable transportation to work

— Current California Food Handler Certification, or commitment to get one upon hiring.

Required Qualifications:

— Previous experience in a customer-facing role within a retail environment

— Excellent face-to-face communication skills with both customers and team members.

— Willingness to go the extra mile to make our customers feel welcome and cared for.

— High-level of patience and the ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment.

— Ability to understand instructions and deliver results without constant supervision.

— Urgency to maintain cleanliness and aesthetic standards.

— Ability to move for 8 hours a day and safely lift 30 lbs.

— Flexible attitude and open to take on extra tasks, as necessary

— Knowledge and love for high-quality food and ingredients
