California, Los angeles, 90001 Los angeles USADescription We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Facilities Assistant in the hospitality industry, based in Los Angeles, California. This position involves managing the operations of a large facility, coordinating with various service vendors, and ensuring a smooth functioning workplace. Responsibilities: Oversee the management of the building property, coordinating with vendors for regular maintenance and repairs. Work closely with electricians to ensure the proper functioning of all electrical systems in the facility. Handle office management duties, ensuring an organized and efficient workplace. Manage facilities catering to around 200 people, ensuring all needs are met effectively. Oversee pantry management, making sure it is well-stocked and maintained. Perform Front Desk duties, greeting people as they come in and providing assistance when needed. Collaborate with IT to manage different platforms such as Zendesk for efficient operations. Apply skills as a Facilities Coordinator to ensure the smooth functioning of the facility. Perform Receptionist duties as required, managing communication and coordinating tasks. Leverage your experience in hospitality service to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for all visitors and employees. Requirements Must have previous experience in a role related to Facilities Coordinator or Receptionist Duties. Excellent communication skills are required to interact effectively with staff and visitors. A high level of organization and attention to detail is essential for managing multiple tasks. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and make informed decisions. Basic computer skills are necessary for record keeping and correspondence. Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a hospitality setting is beneficial. The ability to handle physical tasks related to maintenance and facilities management. Must exhibit a professional and friendly demeanor at all times. The capability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively is crucial. A flexible approach to work, as some out-of-hours tasks might be required. Knowledge of basic repair techniques and building maintenance is advantageous. A commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining a welcoming environment. Problem-solving skills to quickly and efficiently address any facilities-related issues that arise.
