Maintenance Coordinator (Commercial and Residential Property Management)
Location: San Fernando, CA
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
About Us: We are a Property Management company based in San Fernando, CA. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Coordinator to manage work orders, ensure timely service, and contribute to the smooth operation of our properties.
Position Overview: As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, scheduling, assigning, and following through on work orders for residential and commercial properties. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset to deliver the highest quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
· Receive, track, prioritize and schedule work orders
· Obtain approvals from ownership for repairs exceeding the maintenance limit for assigned work orders.
· Assign work orders and coordinate schedules for maintenance technicians.
· Review and approve timesheets and invoices for work completed.
· Provide timely follow-up on work orders, ensuring they are completed to satisfaction.
· Regularly communicate with clients, tenants, and co-workers through text, phone, and email.
· Coordinate services for property showings and turnovers.
· Train maintenance staff on Yardi Software Maintenance Modules
· Perform additional duties as required by management.
Skills & Competencies:
· Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
· Property Management or Construction Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in property management or construction, demonstrating familiarity with industry practices.
· Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with property management software to manage work orders, schedules, and communication efficiently.
· General Maintenance Knowledge: Understanding of basic maintenance and repair processes, equipment, and building systems.
· Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues quickly and effectively.
· Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple work orders.
· Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to engage with tenants, technicians, and team members professionally.
· Customer Service Orientation: Dedication to providing outstanding customer service by addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
· Time Management: Effective in managing time and meeting deadlines.
· Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and take on additional tasks as needed.
Compensation & Benefits:
· 401K with 100% matching of up to 4% of earnings
· $300 monthly towards medical, dental, and vision insurance
· Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave
· $20 - $25 / hour DOE
